Laura Jane Bower is a Vancouver-based performer, instructor, song-writer, and recording artist. Her musical style has been largely informed by artists Nancy Wilson, Joni Mitchell, and Stevie Wonder. Laura brings jazz sensibilities and soulful, lyrical interpretations to both modern and traditional styles of music. 

 

As an educator, Laura is passionate about helping students find their own unique voice, encouraging them to explore music while practicing healthy vocal technique. Other areas of expertise include improvisation, ear-training, and songwriting. 

Laura has a Bachelor in Jazz Music from Capilano University where she studied performance, composition, classical and contemporary singing technique.
